About 85Ocean

Our Story

85Ocean was born out of a necessity for a more sincere, experienced residential design + renovation  company along the Emerald Coast...whose owners live here full time and work personally with every client to provide higher level of quality and service. Like many homeowners, we too have endured numerous poor experiences with contractors who talked a great game and were super responsive...until the contract was signed and check cashed. Sound familiar?

Our Team

85Ocean is owned by the husband and wife team of Patricia and Len Emmick. 


Patricia has a degree in residential design from the Art Institute of Atlanta and an accomplished artist. She's been featured in many industry publications, is a 4th generation artisan and the daughter of Ann Jackson - a prominent nationally recognized painter and founder of Ann Jackson Fine Art gallery in Atlanta, GA. 


Len is a seasoned technology executive who applies his extensive process and managerial expertise to optimizing supply chain and worker bottlenecks thereby driving down the time and cost of home building projects. As well, Len is skilled in software systems that aid in the design, scoping and management of every project.
